The combination of battle and strategy is what makes this series great.ĬA has made it clear that the removal of this feature (******ed though the decision may be) is intentional. Without the battle component, Shogun is little more than a below-average large-scale strategy game, with less content than games like Civilization. And no, we have no interest in auto-resolving. It routinely takes multiple battles to kill an enemy and massively increases the amount of time we have to spend in any given turn. Unfortunately, the removal of the option to continue battles after a enemy has routed has killed all interest in playing for us both. Neither of us gets much fun out of singleplayer and custom battles have no real interest to us either. ''I play Shogun 2 (fall of the samurai, and vanilla) with a friend, in co-op. Really like they just did a great job in killing COOP. Text taken from post from this page but this is excatly what I would have said too.
